I try to go to Runza whenever I come through Nebraska as I grew up here. For something I have one to two times I year, I have high expectations when I am able to stop at a location. As usual my meal was very tasty. The runza was perfect and their onion rings were crunchy and fresh. Quick service although it was lunch time. I am sad that I am not able to indulge in all of the new runza flavors. I'll stick to the classic for my rare visit, unless I get two.

It's not often that I'll actually stop eating a meal because I don't care for it. This is one of those times. I had never heard of this place, but we gave it a try while passing through on I-80. First impression left a lot to be desired. Cleanliness, friendliness... Alas, we try the "famous" Runza. I didn't at all care for mine and actually didn't bother to finish it. My wife, however, was fairy satisfied with hers. So perhaps it's all relative. The biggest win - "frings"... A side that is a mix of onion rings and fries. And they actually tasted fairly solid. Kids enjoyed mini corn dogs. Win, there. Runza seems to be a popular spot when traveling. Perhaps it is just this location? But I likely won't be back the next time thru.

Stopped here on a long road trip across the country and we were delighted with Runza. Very friendly woman at the counter and the food, though still fast food, is a nice change of pace from the ordinary. The Runza pockets are awesome! Glad we stopped!

This was my first Runza I've been to. Overall not a bad place. Gotta try it. The place was kept tidy. The staff was very friendly. Food was decent... unique. I would definitely come back. My wife did not care for it much... but she doesn't like a lot of fast food places anyways.

@Runza is different. It's still fast food but give it a shot over McWendyKing type places. The signature is seasoned beef with onions and cabbage in a stromboli sort of bun. Service was good. Until next time Nebraska...

Tried a Runza for the first time this past summer. And it was YUMMY! Wish they had Runza's in Minnesota. Most of them are in Nebraska. Next time I am in Nebraska may have to buy a bunch of them , and try freezing them. So when I am hungry for on I have them on hand. When ever I am driving through Nebraska, have to stop and get a couple Runzas.

Let me preface this with the fact that I don't usually eat fast food...I eat pretty healthy. That said, even compared to fast food, I did not care for the runza... Sorry Nebraska. We ate at this runza twice (well, I ate here once, my family ate twice) because we were told it is a Nebraska thing we should do while driving through but I did not care for it at all, neither did my 11 year old. She did like the cheeseburger though. My husband and two younger kids did like the runzas. I also tried their onion rings and fries (which I do like at some fast food places...the fries at McDonalds are my favorite) and I did not care for either here at runza.. Both fries and onion rings tasted bland to me and i definitely would not order those again here either.

We love Runza! This is the one we usually stop at on our road trips. They are having their $1 drinks (any size) right now. They have Pepsi!

Maybe it's because I grew up with Runzas, but I don't think so. My husband, a San Diego native, loves it too. Every time we come back to Nebraska, we stop several times at Runza. I like pretty much everything they have to offer there as well. I'm not really big on fast food these days, but I really like Runza, and I wish I could eat it out in California.

Loved this place when I lived in Nebraska at 22 years old. Now I'm back for two weeks and have had two Runza experiences: one great, one not-so-great. Guess it varies with location and luck. Check it out if you can. A true Nebraska experience.

If you ever find yourself in Nebraska, check this place out. I don't normally review fast food joints, but this place is absolutely delightful. The Runza Cheese Sandwich is a a baked roll with ground beef, cabbage, maybe onion, and cheese stuffed inside. The caloric content is horrendous but it's totally worth trying at least once. The best part is that the meals are served with crinkle fries! And who doesn't love a good crinkle fry?? This weekend kicked off my Nebraskan tour so we'll see what next weekend brings!

Mainly just burgers and fries. They also have an actual runza on the menu. which is beef and cabbage baked in dough. (this one has cheese, might be worth a try! - I did'nt though) They have different types of burgurs served with crinkle fries or onion rings or both, salads, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and chili. The menu seemed ok for a fast food joint and granted it was late at night (9PM), but my food was not that great. In fact I would steer clear from the onion rings, because they were dry and seemed like they were sitting out for a long time. Nothing special about the burger, I would rather go to Wendy's or McDonalds.

Gag! The cheese runza tastes like a McD's quarter pounder that's been partially digested, expelled, and put into a roll, topped with bargain basement American cheese, partially baked and served. If you must the crinkle fries are okay but the runza is a foul creation.
